To the Snow Family,
My deepest sympathies on the loss of David. I will always remember his generous spirit and love for life. He always had a joke or a kind word to say whenever I saw him at the Royal Trust office. My heart goes out to you at this time.

To Kathy, Tim and Karen,
We were very sad to hear the news about David's passing and had been looking forward to spending time with him during our retirement in Florida. However, he has left us with some fond memories. We cannot think of our time in Montreal without remembering the days when he would come over to help me try and fix or repair something that Marcelle had complained about - i think deep down she wanted David to fix it.He was generous with his time and we enjoyed his dry sense of humor. As a neighbor and friend, you could not have asked for a better person than David. As i traveled a lot with my job, i always knew David would watch over my family - that was the kind of person he was. Even though our time was short with him in Florida a few years ago, Marcelle and i cherish the memory. The Allan family is very sorry for your loss.

I've just read all the messages that everyone wrote, all say what a caring, patient, understanding man David was. I totally agree, having worked with him for many many years he truly was a gentle man. We are all privileged to have known him. To his family, I offer my sincere condolences he will be missed greatly.

To the Snow Family
David was a trusted and respected member of the RBC Estate and Trust Operating Committee, and his feedback and participation was appreciated and valued. David was always held in the highest esteem by his colleages and he is sorely missed.
May your hearts soon be filled with memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Kathy, Tim, Karen and family,
My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. I can't imagine your pain but hope that time and your many wonderful memories of David will lessen it. I had the opportunity to work with David at Royal Trust. He was one of the most sincere people I've ever met. His good humour and laughter were contagious. I enjoyed all the conversations we had over the years, especially the ones about vacations, sports cars, and fine dining.

Dear Kathy, Tim, Karen & family, my toughts and prayers are with you during this difficult period. I knew Dave for 25 yrs and worked with him in the big family of Royal Trust. He was a caring and very generous man who always tought of others. If you had any problems with your family, your health, he was there, very attentive for you and always willing to help you. He was the best boss we ever had and no one else will ever be able to replace him. We will always share who he was because he was so special, even if he was very secret... Dave, I will always remember the great person you were and love you always!! Take good care of each other (that's what he would like, I'm sure) right now, he is drinking his special drink with his brother and Elaine (of Royal Trust who died). For the rest of your life, He will watch over you and take care of his family. Take good care of each other!! Marie-Claude Fleurant :-))) xxx

Dear Kathy, Tim & Karen;
To echo everyone's sentiments - Dave was a great guy! We coached a couple of hockey teams together back in the day, and we were on the board of Fairview Village several years together. Dave was a great leader and a very fine gentleman. These words befit him:
...The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains...
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains....(anon.)

We are grateful for these memories
Love Don & Nina... Matt & Chris.

I am deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. He was a true gentleman and if ever you had the good fortune to visit the Montreal office David ensured you were treated like royalty. My favourite memory was when David went out of his way to send me home to Calgary with a pound of Montreal Smoked meat - complete with rye bread! Such a gentle, kind, knowledgable man, one of a kind.

My heart goes out to the Snow family at this sad time.

Kathy, Tim & Karen,
It is with more than a little sadness that this news comes to me. I worked with David for many years at RT and he was always a welcome sight in meetings, on the job and at the many conferences we attended together. David had and shared a rare combination of commitment, humility, knowledge and genuine affection for both those he worked with and the clients he cared for. My condolences to each of you and the rest of David's family. May God bless him and care for you in your time of need. Eric & Susan Sadler & family.

Dear Kathy,
I am so sorry to learn of David's passing, especially so soon after his retirement from Royal Trust/Royal Bank. I believe I was his first boss and mentor when he first joined Royal Trust in Montreal. It was obvious to me at the outset that he would have a very successful career with the company. I surely enjoyed working with him. He was a class act all the way. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Dear Kathy, Tim and Karen,

It is with great sadness that Madeleine and I learn of David's passing. As sad as we are, it does not compare with the loss of a loved one. And David was loved by all who knew him. He will remain in our hearts as a man of integrity, a man of knowledge with a compassion for other people.
I say this to you, David will not be forgotten.

Dear Kathy, I was shocked and saddened to hear of David's passing. I have fond memories of when we all worked at RT - you and I in the Saving Dept and David was in P.T. He was so generous with his knowledge and was the first to explain in a way I could understand, why the B Fund and M Fund fluctuated. I was so impressed and grateful and still am.

Words are so inadequate at a time like this, but we wish you and the family courage and strength to sustain you.

My sincere condolences go to family and close friends. It is sad news to read or hear of the passing of someone you worked with for so many years. Our careers started at about the same time, in the same city and David became an icon for what the trust business was all about. He was a true gentleman, a valued colleague, a mentor to many and a quite yet effective leader. I know many who respected his disposition, his knowledge and his willingness to share it all.

This is extremely sad news. Dave was my 1st boss ever, hired me at 19 yrs old - a long 34 years ago. He was fantastic to work for. Franca (who still works at RBC) just very recently told me that Dave was ill and I sent him an e-mail not even sure if he'd remember me after all these years. But he did, and asked me to keep in touch as he loved getting 'mail.' Just last week I thought that I should write Dave again. You'll forever be in my memories Dave and thanks for being the sweet man you were. My thought to Dave's family.
