David Tindell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 1, 2025.
David "Dave" Allen Tindell, 66, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 27, 1958, in Wauchula, Florida, Dave lived a life defined by service, devotion, and integrity.

Dave proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His military journey took him across the Atlantic to Holy Loch in Dunoon, Scotland aboard the U.S.S. Holland and later to Kings Bay, Georgia on the U.S.S. Simon Lake. His time in the Navy instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and loyalty that would guide him throughout his life.

After completing his military service, Dave returned to Florida and made his home in Polk County. He continued working as a machinist-a trade that suited his precision and dedication. Over time, his strong work ethic and natural leadership led him into management roles and eventually into a successful career in sales within the same field. Colleagues respected him for his integrity and commitment to excellence.

Dave was a man of faith who lived according to the values he held dear. A devoted Christian he found strength and purpose through his relationship with the Lord. His faith shaped every aspect of his life-from how he loved his family to how he supported friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Jill Tindell; his daughters Gina Falletta, Lynn Haney, Barbee Cunningham, and Geana Cunningham. Dave was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a devoted father figure to Chris, Aimee, and Lindsey Krombach-cherished children of his heart.

Dave loved all things fishing - every cast, every catch, and every moment spent on the water. What he cherished most were the laughs, the love, and the good times shared with family and friends along the way.

Whether rooting loud for the Tampa Bay Rays or cheering on the Gators, his passion was impossible to miss.

But what he truly treasured was time spent with family, friends, and Waylon-his faithful sidekick who never left his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Juanita Tindell, and by his brother Mark Tindell.

In honor of Dave's passion for fishing and his dedication to sharing its joys with others, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Florida Bass Fishing Camps for Kids (bigbassguidefl.com).

This program introduces children to the joys of fishing and the outdoors.

Checks may be made payable to Big Bass Guide

Dave's legacy lives on through those who knew him-his strength, unwavering faith, and deep love will continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.

May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved him - and as Dave would proudly say, Go Gators!

A Memorial Service will be held on August 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Beymer Church, 700 N Lake Howard Drive. Winter Haven, FL 33881

Dave was an amazing man! We used to drink Kava at Dignitary Tea & Kava House and he would always give me good advice since he was a listener of my radio show. He always kept it real and really helped me out. Love you bro, thank you.

Blessed Family of David Tindell,
My name is Chip Jones. I have known David and his brother Mark since high school. David was such a good man and thoughtful and Momma loved him as did the rest of our family. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I did not even know he was ill. I am not much in touch with Hardee County anymore. Just know I am thinking and praying for you today. I know David will be missed greatly.

I worked with and fished with Dave for about 20 years. He´s a special guy, one of the kindest people I´ve ever known. I will miss his ready smile but look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. His family is in my prayers...

Dave was a very special man, the time I spend with him I will always hold dear, fishing, watching sports and times spent at his home on lake wales. I will always think of him as my brother. We lost a beautiful soul but I will see you again someday, give everyone a hug up there for me. Love you
