David Ross Tschantz

Chagrin Falls - David Ross Tschantz, aged 83, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Chagrin Falls, OH. Born on May 5, 1941, David lived a life marked by dedication to his family, a passion for his career, and a love for boating.

David is survived by his loving wife, Eve Tschantz, and his children, David E. Tschantz, Mark A. Tschantz, and Nicole M. Basom (Dave). He was a cherished grandfather to Taylor J. Tschantz and Lily M. Basom. He also leaves behind his brother William (Skip) P. Tschantz (Jan), sisters Rebecca Hunter (Mark Ogle) and Sarah Tschantz, father-in-law Morris N. Fisher, and brothers-in-law Robbin J. Fisher (Linda) and Scott A. Fisher. David was preceded in death by his parents A. Clayton and Marie Tschantz, mother-in-law Annie C. Fisher, and brother-in-law David L. Fisher.

David's career spanned many years at Mercury Aviation at the County Airport in Richmond Heights, Ohio, and at Classic Interior Completions in Willoughby, Ohio. His professional life was as fulfilling as it was successful, contributing significantly to the aviation industry.

An ardent boater, David was a familiar face at the Lakeside Yacht Club in Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent many happy hours on the water. His sense of humor and loving nature were infectious, bringing joy to those around him, including his beloved dogs Chloe, Bella, and Brynn.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2025, at the Lakeside Yacht Club, 4851 N. Marginal Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, where friends and family will gather to honor David's memory.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, St. Jude’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, Rescue Village Humane Society, and the World Wildlife Foundation, all causes close to David's heart.
