To the family of David Wineman: I only met David about a year ago. He was my mentor for building "can" airplanes. During my brief exposure to David he made a lasting impression upon me as a really fine, caring, gentlemen. It was an honor to know him. I shall miss him.
God bless your family.

To the Winemans: I want you to know that I have very fond memories of Dave. He was a great man and so proud of his wouderful family by the way that he talked of you during all of the time that I was with him. I was on the fire department with him for many years and he always had a smile and a great sense of humor. It was a real joy to be around him and respected him very much and was a real honor to know him. God Bless.

To the Winemans:

I want you to know how much I respected Dave. I loved his sense of humor, and his quick wit. No doubt he will be missed by many. Not shy to say what he thought, yet almost always carrying his trademark smile. I remember him thanking me for organizing his retirement party from the fire department, and I told him I thought his many years of service were worthy of a much bigger celebration than we could give him, and he said, "Hey, sunny day, with family and friends, its good enough for me." And he meant that too. God Bless.
