Dawn Bowling Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 6, 2013.
Dawn K. Bowling (March 25, 1956 to March 5, 2013) Dawn died peacefully in her home in Park Meadows surrounded by friends and family after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 25, 1956 to Robert and Phyllis Sirls in Dearborn, Michigan. Dawn married Steven Bowling on September 29, 1990 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2002 she began her dream job as an administrator at Mountain Trails. Her love and enthusiasm for trails enabled her to become an integral part in the growth of the foundation. She loved cross-country skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, and spending time with friends. She is most appreciative to those friends who helped her in her peaceful passing. Thank you. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven, her mother Phyllis, her brother, Scott, niece, Ashley, nephew Dylan, family and countless friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Life Church, 7375 N. Silver Creek Road, Park City, UT 84098. Hats off to Dawn, and remembering that gorgeous smile from the photos. She was my sister Susan's best
friend. Over the years I have heard many Dawn stories and am well aware of her strength and wonderful sense of humor. Blessings on her memory and all of her friends and family today.

Poem For The Final Journey

If a journey you must take
To an unfamiliar place,
May your way be lit with light
And warmth of God's own grace.

If a path you must now tread
To the other side,
May your way be led by those
Already there to be your guide.

If adventures you must have
And leave us all behind,
Let the road lead to your home
Your bed of stars aligned.

If you go to meet the sun
And make your own light shine,
Please shine on us so we may know
That you are well and fine.

If a slumber you must sleep
So deep you never wake,
May your soul dance on moonbeams
And shimmer in their wake.

If your body you must free
While your spirit soars and sings,
We must rejoice in knowing that
Relief from pain it brings.

If we cannot hold your hand
Or caress your face,
May your heart be with us still
In caring love's embrace.

Farewell on your journey, Dawn.

Dawn, The slice of life we shared were aerobics, trail rides and snow shoe parties. We looked forward to any event when you and Steve were coming. Loved your smile and beautiful personality. If we all could be just a little bit like Dawn we would all be just a little bit better. You were a class act and set a good example for all of us. Thank you for all the good times and great memories. I can stlll see that sweet grin.
