Dee tried so hard to be my friend. I failed to return the favor.
He was one of the most level-headed people I knew.
He was best man at my second wedding.

My first stay at Dee's house was when I was about 12. He tried to show me farm life, including boxing. Although I was much bigger, he hit me once on the jaw, and that ended that little exhibition! :-)
