Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2024.
Dei-ja Louise Hamilton, 25, of Topeka, Kansas passed away July 8th, 2024, at Stormont Vail Hospital. She was born June 4th, 1999, to Jackie (Hicks) Hamilton and Billy Hamilton in Great Bend Kansas. After graduation, Dei-ja moved to Arkansas for a period and earned her certified nurse's aide certificate. She loved helping people and was very smart. Dei-ja spent time doing what she loved doing most, being with family and raising her pride and joy, her three children. Her family describes Dei-ja as sweet, sassy, energetic, passionate, and a wonderful mother. Dei'ja never backed down from her beliefs and standing up for what she believed was right and what she believed to be true. This was also one of her biggest strengths.

She attended and was baptized at Fellowship bible church.

Dei-ja left this world as a hero. She saved many lives while losing hers. She donated her organs, and her heart was given to a nine-year-old boy whose life was saved due to her selflessness.

Services are being held on Saturday July 20th 2025 at 11:00a.m at Love Fellowship Church located at 2636 SE Minnesota Avenue in Topeka. A fellowship for friends and family will follow at 1429 SE Quincy Street in Topeka.

We worked together at two different stores in our last year of highschool as seniors and all I can remember is how much fun she made it to go to work. She always had something funny to say and customers always loved her. We were inseparable for a good period. We´d go to work and go home together. I miss when she stayed with me. I miss helping her clean her room and getting sidetracked. We just had too much fun to focus. I´ll always love you and honor your name.

I just remember her following her mom around. She was always so sweet, and you could tell that she and her mother were so very bonded. She will be missed.

Dei-Ja is my childhood best friend. We've known each other since elementary school. In that time till now, we've created a beautiful amount of memories together. We were inseparable at one point and I'll always consider her as my sister.
Dei-Ja was a ball of energy. Every bit of her personality shinned and you couldn't do anything but admire the person that she was. When she cared for you, she did so with her whole heart and soul. When she set her mind on something, there was nothing you could do to stop her; she was an incredibly strong, passionate, and creative woman. On top of that, very giving, goofy, and would do anything to see you smile.
If you had her, you know there was never a dull moment. I just wish we could have had many many more moments together. Till 87, remember?
I'll love you forever, Dei-Ja.

Every moment shared with her was never a dull moment. Which it was laughing until we can´t breathe to arguing like we were sister. Either way it went I loved her unconditionally as I saw her as a sister I never had. God only knows how much I miss her.
