Delilah Stenson

Stenson, Delilah ALBANY Delilah Stenson, 77, of Albany passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was born and raised in Albany, the daughter of the late Roy Stenson and Nellie Overby -Johnson. Delilah was a resident of the Capital District all of her life. Delilah worked for Friehoffer's Bakery Co. as a cake decorator for 24 years, retiring in 1993. Later she worked for Memorial Hospital in the food service department for two years. Mother of James E. Stenson and Donna J. Harris, both of Albany; grandchildren, Damien and Shamar Stenson, both of Albany; her brother, Hollis Harris of Richmond, Va.; her sister, Frances Johnson of Albany; many nieces and nephews including Delilah Johnson, Delilah Harris, Delilah Jones, Shereema Fields, Madaya Lee, Saniya Lee, Jerry Harris Jr. and Isaiah Adensanya; and her devoted companion, Ronald Smith of Albany. In addition to her parents, Delilah was predeceased by her sisters, Alfrida Overby, Virginia Allen, Stella Overby and Joan Caldwell; by her brother, Jerry Harris. Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
