Delores "Dee" June Gammell, of Wadsworth, died May 12, 2023.

She was born on May 13, 1930, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to Alvin and Jessie (Lyons) Spice. She married her sweetheart, Herb, on August 23, 1947, in Rittman, OH.

Herb and Dee were married for 74 years.

Dee attended Wadsworth High School and spent her early years working at Ohio Match. Most of her career was spent working for Latex Industries of Chippewa Lake, Ohio. She was a member of Grace and Truth Church for 28 years in Wadsworth as well as Rittman Community Freewill Baptist Church. Dee's greatest passion was growing and tending to her flowers, especially her rose bushes.

Dee will be deeply missed by her; children Connie (Larry) Smith, Jim, Tim (Cathy); Grandchildren: Melanie (Ron), Jason (Amanda), Amanda, Tiffany (Albert), Julie (Chris), Kristin (Tyler), and Adam (Melissa) Great-Grandchildren: Hunter, Austin, Alison, Zachary, Lina, Aliyah, Luke, Carter, Madison, Riley, Marissa, Tilly and Sloane. Her twin sister Doris. Her close friends, Norma, Ada, Frank, and Jayne.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband Herb, her sister Faye, and her daughter-in-law Peggy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Residence for taking such good care of Dee for the past 2 years. Special thanks to Crossroads Hospice for the wonderful care.

Friends may call on Thursday May 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. at the funeral home and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/delores-gammell. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the service.
