Delphine Joan "Del" Wallen

Delphine Joan Wallen, known affectionately as Del, passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 86 in Sebring, FL. Born on November 14, 1937, in Newark, NJ, she was the cherished daughter of the Lusher family.

Del spent her life dedicated to her family as a loving stay-at-home mom, supporting her husband Benjamen "Bud" Wallen, who predeceased her, and raising their children with boundless love and attention. Known for her feisty spirit and love for social gatherings, Del was the cornerstone of her family and a beloved figure in her community.

She is survived by her oldest son, Timothy J. Wallen and his wife, Linda Marie; son, Jesse and his wife, Brianna, and their son, Jackson; and daughter, Casey Julian and her husband, Vance, with their children, Riley and Axle. Del was preceded in death by her younger son, Todd.

Del was an active member of Back to Basics since October 12, 1985, where she contributed wholeheartedly for over 38 years. She also had a deep love for her dog, Tracker, and enjoyed the sunshine and the company of her friends and family.

A celebration of Del's life will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 43 Lake June Road, Lake Placid, Florida 33852, on July 20th at 1:30 pm.
