Dennis L. Backus Jr.

Dennis Lee Backus Jr., 42, of Greensburg, who loved his family dearly, went home to be with our lord Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, surrounded by his loving family in Westmoreland Hospital. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Jeanette. Dennis was an avid bodybuilder, was active in the community and loved helping others. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Backus; son, Gage Backus; daughter, Priscilla Backus; mother, Patricia Backus, of Wyano; father, Dennis Backus Sr., of Turkeytown; brother, Glenn Backus and his wife, Connie Backus, of Tarrs; and sisters, Deanne Backus, of Scottdale, and Denise Briggs and her husband, Steve Briggs, of Wyano. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Ashlee and Dan Hart, Alisha and Matt Hilderbrand, Brandon Keefer, Dylan Backus and Patti Keefer. Friends and family will be received at a memorial service at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Heritage Baptist Church in Jeannette.
