Dennis Blasetti, beloved husband of Joyce Blasetti, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the age of 62 years. Dennis was a beloved husband, father, papa, son, brother, and uncle. He loved his family above all. Dennis lived his passion for helping others through a long career in community work and vocational counseling.
He believed in being early, taking the farthest parking spot, and always putting family first.
Besides his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Dennis is survived by three children, Tyler (Aimee), Jordan (Katie), and Janelle (Matt); four grandchildren, Siiri, Ayla, Duncan, and Kora. He is also survived by his mother Norma; six siblings, Lorne (Eileen), David (Sylvia), Dina (Gerry), Cheryl (Dan), Ron (Joey), and Noreen; numerous nieces and nephews; a large extended family, and many friends. Dennis was predeceased by his father Angelo. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If so desired memorial tributes may be made directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary, 731 - 13 Avenue NE Calgary, Alberta T2E 1C8, Telephone: 403-276-9981 www.boysandgirlsclubsofcalgary.ca In living memory of Dennis Blasetti, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Joyce and family. I was very sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. We are recently back to Alberta from BC. I heard the sad news just last week. I worked with Dennis for a number of years and we would often have coffee together and talk about our kids, sports and driving truck for Big Horn Transport. Joyce and the Blasetti family. We were deeply saddened to hear of Dennis's passing. I wish we had known sooner and been able to attend his funeral. To Joyce and the Blasetti family. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Dennis. I first met Dennis in high school at St. Francis. I will never forget the many hours we spent together when our sons played hockey and our daughters figure skated at Mount Pleasant Sportsplex and our conversations on the Stephan Avenue Mall.
