Age 87, of Buffalo, NY,
entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2022.Devoted son of the late
Rev. Derrick M. Byrd, Sr. and the late Pauline Winifred Huff; loving father of Jeannine Byrd Jordan, Pamela Westbrook, and Derria Byrd (Roland Jackson); beloved brother of Rev. Dr. Cameron W. Byrd, Sr. (Gwendolyn); cherished grandfather of André (Corenia Murphy), Jasmine, Jeremiah Westbrook and Sula Byrd Jackson; generous great-grandfather of Avaya, Jayonna, Kai, and Amias Westbrook; fond former spouse of Lelia Judy Farrell Byrd; and dear friend of Jacqueline Dunn-Bell. Additionally, survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family invites you to a Memorial Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 17, 2022, 2 PM at Elim Christian Fellowship Church, 70 Chalmers Avenue, Buffalo. The Rev. Troy A. It took me this long to find out that you "left". I enjoyed our friendship. You were a great friend. I remember the fun of our Urban League days and your constant words of wisdom. The world is not the same without you ! Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again. baritone voice of reasoning!

Mr. Byrd, I will miss hearing our voice bellow "Griffa girl" when you saw me. Rest in Perfect Peace and say hi to my day for me. I know and and the brothers were singing that Omega hymn, as you did for him, when you joined them!!
