Devin Douglas Parent

PARENT , (Hogben) Devin Douglas July 6, 1992 - February 13, 2010 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Devin Douglas Parent, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin on February 13, 2010. Devin was predeceased by his brother Keith Joseph Parent in 2006. Devin will be dearly missed by his parents; Barbara Parent of BC and Darrell and Connie Hogben of BC, his sister and brother Dakota and Cole of BC, his maternal grandparents, Clement and Lillian Parent of Calgary, paternal grandmother Isabell Hogben, Uncles, Edouard and Ashley Parent, Chris Picco, Aunt Emily and Mike Pompeo and nephews and nieces, Christopher, Alexa, Aiden, Emma and Grace. Devin is also survived by numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Devin resided with his grandparents in Calgary for almost twelve years before moving to BC with his father and family seventeen months ago. Devin attended school at Holy Cross, St. Rose de Lima and had just started at Father Lacombe in Calgary when he moved to BC where he attended Eagle River Secondary School in Sicamous. Devin was very active in his community, playing soccer when he was younger and was a long time member of the Dover Boys and Girls Club, Devin volunteered at Camp Adventure for a number of years washing dishes at Family camps, as he put it, "then families could have more time to spend together if they did not have to do dishes". Devin was a wonderful young man who cared about everyone and he was loved by all who knew him. A Private Mass will be said for Devin on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 1525 - 45 Street S.E., Calgary. Friends and family are gathering following the mass at 2007 - 36 Street S.E. to Celebrate Devin's Life, sharing memories and our love for Devin. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Calgary Boys and Girls Club or a children's charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
