Dino Bertucci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 4 to Jun. 6, 2015.
Dino Bertucci February 5 1962-May 28, 2015 Bertucci, Dino

Dino left us too soon on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 53 years of age. Survived by his life mate Brad Simmonds and dogs Jerry and Lynx. Dear son of the late Rocco Bertucci (1988) and Marinella (Valente) Bertucci (2013). Sorrowfully missed brother of Dominic, Ray, Serge and Aldo. Brother- in-law of Odette (Serge) and Patti (Aldo). Also remembered by nieces and nephews; Christina, Rocco and Antoinette (Serge) and Stefano, Daniela and Paolo (Aldo).

Dino worked in Computer sales, networking and training and taught at the University of Windsor, George Brown College and Seneca College throughout his career. He was passionate about his dogs, travelling, tennis, nature, cooking, his Porche and photography.

He will be remembered for his easy humour and fun-loving nature. Dino's passing has left a void in our hearts. So many sentiments are left unexpressed. We are all better for having known him.

There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends. If desired, memorial donations may be made to:

To Brad and the Bertucci family....I'm so sad to hear of Dino's passing. We shared many happy memories from grade school to University. Although we lost touch after graduating, I often wondered how he was doing. From the postings I've read here, he has well liked both personally and professionally. I would expect nothing less. I'm blessed to have known him. Best regards, John Dowhan and family.

I remember meeting Dino through another sweet Italian friend of mine named also Dino over 20 years ago on what we now know as the infamous "steps". We hit it off right away. Since then we've shared drinks laughs even cried here and there and lots of hugs . I'll miss that laugh and those sweet strong hugs . He was the kind of guy that always looked you in the eye; he listen and then he let you know in his own very special sometimes sarcastic way that no matter what , no matter who, no matter where , you are stronger than you think. Always encouraging , he himself was a loving strong man who's gift was the way he looked at the world . He was never afraid.
And it's with these loving thoughts that we say goodbye to a sweetheart of a guy. You live on in our memories and in our hearts in which we keep you safe and you keep us strong.

Dino lived life with a passon that few others possessed.
He was extremly smart, well-read, witty, funny and loyal.
His knowledge of tennis and the porsche automobile was unparalleled.
When he befriended someone he did so whole-heartedly. Definitely a great guy to have in your corner. I will miss him very very much

What can I say about Dino? I've known Dino for over 15 years now. Dino was always passionate about things he was interested in ... cars, tennis, all things culinary, photography and the list goes on. I was fortunate to have spent a fair amount of time with him during the past few months. Dino was known for his keen sense of humour and quick wit. He loved to have fun and was always generous with his time. I will surely miss him.

The world shines a little less brightly today. 20+ years of laughter and good times, memories to last a life time. Dino wasn't just my good friend, he was like an older brother to me. There isn't enough space on this page to describe how big of a loss this is. Condolonces to Domenic and the entire Bertucci Family

I don't think anyone who met Dino would disagree that he was larger than life. One of the most intellectual and informed people I have ever known... but despite that, Dino FELT everything so deeply. He loved to laugh (and make other people laugh), but he also challenged people to rethink their positions on important matters of social justice (or simply to correct them on their facts -- he loved to do that!). I am better because I knew you...

May 31, 2015

He will be forever in our hearts. We will all miss his humor and visits to Windsor.

In the 20 years that I knew Dino, i never saw him in a bad mood. Whenever we saw each other, which wasn't often enough, he would greet me with a smile, a kiss and a hug, usually a little bit of good-natured gossip, and always, always warmth and good humour. He is one of the most upbeat and positive people I will ever know. Dino, you will go on forever in the hearts of those of us who were lucky enough to have known you and called you a friend. I'll miss you.
