Dolena Irene Holms

HOLMS, Dolena Irene (nee Camp) Irene (Habu) Holms passed away peacefully in Qualicum Beach, BC on December 12th at the age of 75. She was born May 13, 1934 in Banff, AB. Irene was a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a cherished and loyal friend and leader. Irene was a writer, artist and teacher; for 50 years she served as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She made many a weary soul laugh and rejoice during her lifetime. Irene is survived by her seven children: Rhett Blades of Chemainus, BC; Corey Blades of Duncan, BC; Ken (Karen) Blades of Victoria, BC; Judi (Wade) Burbank of Vancouver, WA; Maggie (John) Brigham of Banff, AB; Michael (Maria) Merten of Montreal, QC; and Cynthia (Scott) Infanger of Florence, AL. Irene was Habu" to her fourteen grandchildren: Brandyn, Daniel, Katie, Connor, Elizabeth, Nate, Ian, LisaMarie, Charlie, Angelica, William, Marcus, Spencer and Xavier. She is also survived by two brothers, Bennett (Polly) Camp, JJ (Melina) Camp and one sister, Stella (Bill) Nokes. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Leslie Camp and Marguerite Kathleen McRae, a sister, Marguerite Kathleen Camp and one granddaughter, Emily Brooke Burbank. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 19, at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2990 Quadra Street, Victoria BC.
