Dolores "Dee" Josephine (Hornick) Schluep, age 84, of Hampton Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh on August 27, 2018. Dee was born in Perrysville and graduated from Perry High in 1952. She was a cook all of her life and worked at places like the Wildwood Country Club, Pineview Manor Nursing Home, The Wildwood Coach and Keil's Donut Shop. She was a big fan of the Pirates, Steelers and Pens. Her favorite shows to watch were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She liked to travel; her favorite place was to go was Las Vegas. Some of her interests were flower gardening, sewing, cooking and baking, puzzles and her fish pond. Dee cherished her family, especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters, Denise Schluep, Lisa Schluep and Beth Stewart, all of Hampton Twp.; two granddaughters, Nicole (Michael "Kappy") Kaplan and Brandy Stewart, both of West Deer Twp.; great-grandchildren, Tristian and Aurora; stepdaughter, Debbie (Tommy) Anthony, of Texas. She was preceded in death by parents, William and Margaret Hornick; her husband, Robert E. Schluep; her companion, John "Jack" McCarthy and her brothers, William and Regis Hornick. Dolores's family will welcome friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., on Thursday August 30 at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later time. She will be privately laid to rest at Allegheny County Memorial Park in Allison Park. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at

To the schluep family very sorry for your loss she will be miss so very much I know her a lot my self she was a very nice lady to me as well I would always try to visit when I could etc but above all I.ll miss so very much RESTI PEACE lol
