Don would fly half way round the world, sort out one of his cars, teach us something about cardiac surgery or blood pumps, and leave us better than we'd have been without him. Always with enormous energy, always with a smile. He will be missed.

8 years ago I met the most brilliant Heart surgeon who with his brilliance and amazing skill gave me a second chance at life. So saddened to hear of the passing Professor Esmore. May his wonderful legacy live on. RIP

Don, so glad you are at peace, so sad you have left this world far too soon for one who gave so much and deserved the years to enjoy all the good things. Great memories of great times, rest easy good friend , rob larbalestier

I have some funny early memories from sailing days at Indented Heads. A wonderful man. I know his pain as I too have myeloma. Rest easy. You join an esteem group upstairs. God bless.
