Donald S. Katz

Donald, of Charlotte, formerly of Queens, NY, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 8, 1945 to Mrs. Terri Katz and the late Lawrence Katz.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Donald and his wife started and operated an import company for the past 28 years. Friends and family were the most important in his life.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon Katz; daughter, Stacie Coblenz and her husband, Philip; son, Darren Katz and his wife, Allison; grandson, Eli Coblenz; mother, Mrs. Terri Katz; brother, Harvey Katz; sisters, Charlene Katz and Robin Dobroff; and father-in-law, Samuel Appelbaum.

A graveside service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

To my dear son,

There are no words I could say to explain how much I love you and will miss you. You were and still are my baby boy and you were my first born and made me a mother for the first time. You were a perfect son and a apart of me will always be missing now that your gone. You came into this world premature and left prematurely. I will always miss you and love you and will ever forget you and we will meet again. Give daddy a big huge from me and say hi to grandma, grandpa, Aunt Bobbi and everyone else. I love you so so much and can't wait to see you again someday. You will be missed as you were loved.
