Don was a graduate of Penn State University. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve; was activated and served as a Naval Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician in Iwakuni, Japan, during the Pueblo Crisis.
Don worked as regional forester for the Southwest Division of the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 37 years until his retirement in 2002. He received a Legislative recognition award for assisting at the Johnstown flood in 1977.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Campbell Little; children, Christopher and wife Susan, Leechburg, Scott, West Mifflin, Heather and fiance Nate Morrison, Pittsburgh, Jennifer Swiderski, West Mifflin, Jeffrey and wife Mollie, Meadville, Tara McCreary and husband Robert, Chalfant, and Brett and fiancee Amy Roche, Bethel Park; and 10 grandchildren.
He is also survived by his in-laws, Henry and Elizabeth Campbell and Darwin and Renee Campbell; and a niece and nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of East Church and St. Clair streets, Ligonier.
