DONALD McAFEE Obituary
Peacefully meeting his wife on Thursday, March 8, 2012, age 80, of Arlington, formerly of Mt. Washington, joined his family's angels in heaven. Beloved husband of the late Grace J. (Lancia) McAfee; generous and hard working father of Donna (Frank) Wielock, Clifford (Linda) McAfee and James (Patricia) McAfee; Pap will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Sue Wielock, Georgean (Eddie) Orr, Christopher Wielock, Alicia Suess, Clifford, Jr. (Mia), Michael, Shannon, Ashley and James McAfee, Jr.; he will watch over his six great-grandchildren, Nina, Gianna, Hana, Grace, Alexis and his "Bubba," Grant. Pap was survived by many special friends, family, neighbors and his black lab, Vito. A Korean War veteran and former Operating Engineer of Local 95. Pap spent his life devoted to his family. Friends welcome Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., Virginia Ave. and Kearsarge St., Mt. Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery.

One of my first memories of Pap is him taking Steph and Megan up and down the street looking for pennies. I didn't find out until years later that he had put the pennies out for them to find. Such a sweet, kind and wonderful guy. The neighborhood just isn't going to be the same without him around.
