Judilyn -

I went to both elementary school(St Pius X) and high school(Iona)with Donny. I received a note from Iona regarding Donny's very sad passing. He was a very friendly guy, the type who everyone liked. I cant recall a memory of him in which he was not happy and smiling. My sincere sympathies to you, your children, his mother and his siblings. I am sure this is a very painful time for you now and you should know that there are many people who remember Donny very fondly as do I.

Ironically, while I reside in Texas, I actually work down the road from you in Long Beach, CA. Regrettably, it wasnt until his passing that I became aware of this.

Sincerely,

Gregg Hartnett

Dear Judilyn,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Donnie and I were classmates at Iona Prep in New Rochelle, NY from 1972-1976... I have a fond memory of him... The only time I can ever recall being defiant to my mom came when I was 17. She insisted I was going to get a hair cut (not very popular with kids in 1975-76). I was not interested. In fact I left mom in the car outside the barber, and I started walking home! About halfway along my 3-mile trek, Donnie came driving along. He stopped and picked me up. I told him about my argument, and he was there to offer a little support. Funny, that was 29 years ago. And I still remember it... Quite frankly, I didn't have a lot of friends at Iona, but Donnie was definitely one of the good guys. May he rest in peace.

Dear Judilyn,

Judy and I were so sorry to learn about Donald's sudden death. We are so sorry we can't attend the services; but want very much to see you this week. There have been so many parallels in your family's and ours.

Deepest sympathy to you and Barbara--our thoughts are with you. Will call Mother's home Tuesday to arrange to drive down to Chatham.

Judilyn, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I can't imagine anything I could say to lessen your grief, but know that you are in my prayers every day. I would so like to be there to support you this weekend, but Katherine has pneumonia, and Meaghan an ear infection. I'm sure you understand my kids need me. But if you are still going to be in Chatham next weekend, I would like to come and see you. I'll be in touch.

Much love and sympathy,

Christine

Donny and I were Kindergarten classmates. While I am deeply saddened by his death, I am celebrating his life. Donny will always be a "brother" of mine. Being a Yankee fan and Denver Bronco fan, this will be the only time I will ever say this -

GO METS!!!!!!!!

GO JETS!!!!!!!!

That's for you, buddy!!!

Until we meet again. Rest in Peace.
