MORRISONVILLE — Mr. Donald G. Seymour, 89, of Mason Street, Morrisonville, N.Y., passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Morrisonville, N.Y., April 6, 1920, the son of George and Rose (Bouyea) Seymour. Donald had worked construction with the Operating Engineers with Local 106. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flower and vegetable gardening, but mostly visiting with family and friends.

Donald was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6067 and St. Alexander's Church.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Rose Seymour; his wife, Theresa L. Seymour; his siblings, Valeda Wood, Ella Mae Lucia, Dennis Seymour and Harold Seymour.

Donald is survived by a son, David W. Seymour and his wife Judith of Morrisonville; a daughter, Brenda Jean "BJ" Rock and her husband Floyd A. Rock of Morrisonville; five grandchildren, Darren Seymour, Todd Seymour, Sara Ann St. Louis, Bridget Ann Lavigne and Molly Jean Rock; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Seymour and his wife "Mitzi" of Morrisonville, Robert "Bud" Seymour of Morrisonville, Lawrence "Andy" Seymour and his companion Kathy of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 27, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville.

Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to the Skilled Nursing Unit at CVPH Medical Center, in care of Joy Cummings RN, Director of Nursing, 75 Beekman St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 6067 are asked to meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. for services at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
