Melba
I never had the privilege of meeting Donald so I only knew him through you. In my mind I saw him as a very caring, happy, smiling, generous good natured man who loved his family and loved God. The condolences from the people who did know him personally confirm my image of him.
You and your children are very blessed to love and be loved by someone so special.
I will pray for the strength that you and your children will need in the future.

Melba, Meridith, and Brandon I am sorry to hear of your loss. Donald and Melba were the last couple along with Andy and Kathy to stay with my Family when my Mom passed. I will never forget that. I know it's not easy to lose a parent at a young age much less a devoted husband with a great attitude and outlook on life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If there is anything I can do in return the please let me know.

I remember when Donald and Melba were youth leaders at First Assembly when I first started going to church. I still seen him in town through the years. Donald always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He was truely a man of God and encouraged everyone he came into contact with. We can take comfort in memories and knowing this is just our temporary home. We will see you when we get there Donald. Melba...I love you.

Melba, I can't even imagine the loss you must feel. Donald is such testmony in himself from the health situations from the time he was young to the way he lived. After speaking with Margaret I forwarded somethings she shared with me to my children, to remind all of us we are not home yet. Thank you, Donald.

I only knew Donald from the times he visited Margaret at the tearoom. Margaret and Lawrence talked so highly of what a great man he was. I pray God will be with you and comfort you in this time of grief as I have been praying for you during his illness.

Melba, I remember Donald as being so kind, & so friendly. I also remember the fun things about him as a teenager. He & a group of kids wrapped my house one Saturday night. I watched them & as they finished I started turning on all my lights. They ran so fast. I got as much fun out of it as they did. They wanted to clean it up but I had it done before church on Sunday morning. It is such a good memory for me. I know the Lord is comforting all of you in your great loss.

Melba, what can I say that hasn't been said in the other comments. As I told you at the funeral home,I feel that other than my Daddy, Donald was the best, most Godly man God ever put on the face of this earth. He always put his feelings and concerns aside to make sure others were met. He put everyone ahead of himself. His love for God, You and His Kids always showed through in our conversations. I never saw him upset or concerned about tomorrow. I know it had to be hard for him to leave you and the kids, but now he is at rest and waiting for our great reunion. Want that be grand! He will always be right beside you, only a whisper away.

Thinking and praying for your family daily. He was a true inspiration to me and to all of the St. Luke’s 11 Tower staff. His humbleness and selflessness will always remain in our memories. He touched our lives in just the short time that we knew him. All of St. Luke's 11 Tower would like to send our love and prayers to the White family during this difficult time.
“No tears in heaven, no sorrows given, All will be glory in that land; There’ll be no sadness, all will be gladness, When we shall join that happy band. No tears, no tears up there, Sorrow and pain will all have flown; No tears, no tears up there, No tears in heaven will be known.” ~Robert S. Arnold~

Our Love,
