Dora B. Salinas 87, of Falfurrias Texas passed away April 8, 2025.

She was born in Falfurrias, TX., October 24, 1937, to Regino Benavides and Antonia Guerra.

She loved to crochet, make jewelry and enjoyed making different things for her family and friends. On her spare time, she loved going to casinos with friends. She worked several jobs but retired from The Brooks County Sherriff's Dept.

She is survived by two sons, Isaac H. Salinas (Celia), Luis C. Salinas both of Falfurrias, TX. Two daughters, Nora S. Cooper (Terry) of La feria, TX, and MaryAnn S. Rivadeneyra (JR) of Alice, TX. Two brothers, Pete Benavides (Norma) of Lytle, TX, Noe Benavides (Terry) of Falfurrias, TX.

She is survived by 13 Grandchildren, 31 great grandchild, and one great great granddaughter, countless nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Regino Benavides and Gonzalo Benavides.

A Chapel Service will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Friday, April 11, 2025 at The Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, TX., with the viewing starting at 9:00 AM. Services will conclude at Alaniz Funeral Home.

My deepest condolences to the family. Dora was a coworker in the late 1978. She was a joy to work with, always had a smile on her face, that I will always remembe. She was a beautiful and joyful person. May you R.I.P. Dear friend.

I remember when we took this photo, we were taking Christmas photos. We borrowed this car from Don´s Garage with permission of the owner of course. She was so excited!
