It's coming up on 2 months and I still miss Mom like crazy! Thought it would be easier by now. I know Mom & Dad are together in heaven, proud of their family on this earth, and enjoying peace, fellowship and laughter with everyone they're with. No more pain or suffering - it's a good thing.
Lots of love and blessings to all my sibs! Big Hugs!

We were saddened at the passing of our Aunt Betty. Our sympathies are with all of our cousins and their children in this time of loss. We were grateful that our children were able to see Dave and Betty together some years ago and for us to spend time with all of you. We love you and will keep you in our thoughts.

Betty,
I miss you, but I know you are in a much better place. I am sure you will enjoy your journey in heaven and I know you loved meeting Jesus face to face.
I love you

I love you Aunt Betty. I have so many fond memories of Malabar Farm , Ashland, and Cambridge visits . It was always a treat to get to go to your house. Please tell mom and dad hello for me. You were my favorite Aunt . Prayers to your family as I know this is a hard time for them. I wish I could be there , I'm in Big Sky Montana. Love you all.

I remember visiting Aunt Betty in the summer when I was little and riding horses. I loved my visits to Aunt Betty's house. She was so sweet. She finally gets to see her sister and my grandmother Norma again. Grandma Norma thought the world of her sister. I miss them both.

To my sibs..... We will always remember mom as a servant. She loved our visits and prepared our favorite meals/ desserts when we came to visit. She loved Jesus and prayed for salvation for each one. When she went to meet Him, she could be at peace knowing her job here on earth was done as each of her 8 children accepted Jesus as their personal savior. How awesome to know she is with Jesus and we will see her and dad one day. She will be greatly missed but is now with her family gone before her and has met the sibling we never knew. Love to each one....

Aunt Betty has been like a second mother to me, she loved everyone!! She and my Mom (her sister,Norma ) were very close, so therefore they both raised us children to be close too. I think of Jan, Mike , Marsha,Lois, Linda, Marc, Fred & Sandy more as siblings than cousins. My prayers are with all of you at this time, I know exactly how you are feeling. But we know she is reunited with her familly gone before her. I pray for God's peace to be with you as you go through this now. Thanks to Charles for being there with love. Thinking of you all.

Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring, FL. Words cannot do justice to the blessings you provided during Betty Sykes' last few days. Mom's final words in this life: "What a way to go." Inflection was not an option when this was spoken, so I leave to family and friends the appropriate interpretation.
