Dorothy "Dottie" Fong

Dorothy "Dottie" Fong (nee Mah), 90, passed away suddenly on December 5, 2022. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years Arthur M Fong, Sr.; loving mother of Arthur M Fong, Jr. (Michelle), Cynthia Boriskin (Rob), and Stephanie Pettitt; proud grandmother of Andrew David Boriskin (Cristina), Jessica Nicole Pettigrew (Trevor), Erik Ervin Pettitt, Kris Wade Pettitt, and Arthur Muir Fong, III; great-grandmother of Orson and Vera. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Doris Mah, Betty Lee, and Violet Yee and her brothers Kenneth Mah and Robert Mah; and is survived by her brother Allan Mah, and many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. Dorothy was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Mah Ded Chew and Pearl Lam. Meeting her future husband in 1952, Dorothy moved to Sacramento where she lived a full and happy life. After working many years for the State of California (CalPERS) until her retirement, she kept herself busy volunteering for the Blood Source, Head-to-Toe Senior Fitness, Sacramento Police Department, and many other organizations. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends whom she touched with her fun loving ways and always helping attitude. Family and friends are invited to attend "A Celebration of Life" service at First Christian Church, 3901 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2:00pm. Service will also be live streamed on First Christian Church of Sacramento Facebook Page. Dorothy was a two time breast cancer survivor.
