Dorothy Peabody Obituary
Dorothy was always there to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it and was known for her card sending. She loved the Lord, her church, her gardens, yard sales, time with family at the beach, taking rides with family, circle word books and camping with her children when they were young. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her most enjoyable pleasure on earth.
She is survived by her children. Harvard Peabody and best friend, Tina, Leslie Peabody and wife, Brenda, Annette Ramirez, Gregory Peabody, Milford Peabody and wife, Penny, Dawn Peabody and her cat, Mei, and Mary Look and husband, Dale; and special daughter-in-law, Jackie Peabody. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Beal and Ethlyn Willey, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dorothy is also survived by special friends, Jeannie Beal, Joyce Alley, Leona Libby, Irma Chandler, Doreen Thompson and Katie Nicely; and sister, Ruth Carver. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Harvard and Bertha Phinney; brothers, John, Alvin and Harvard Phinney Jr.; sisters, Celia Kennedy, Sophia Torrey, Sylvia Brooks and Alverta Phinney; ex-husband, Bertram W. Peabody; son, Bertram E. "Beppie" Peabody; and daughters, Ella Louise Peabody and Nadine "Peabody" Robinson. Mom, we all will forever love and miss you always.
Viewing will be held 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Advent Christian Church, Mill Pond Road, Beals, where a funeral service will begin 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias.
