STOREY _ Douglas passed away suddenly at home March 18, 2005. Born May 1, 1926 in London, England. Doug served his country as a 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guardsman during WWII. Doug married the love of his life Sheila in 1954 and they were soon blessed with three children, John, Jane and Caroline. In 1969 the family immigrated to Coquitlam where Doug worked for Canada Post until his retirement in 1988. Together Doug and Sheila enjoyed trips to Hawaii, England, and camping trips to the Okanagan. Other favourite pastimes included gardening, oil painting, and woodworking. His devoted canine buddy Jenny was his best friend and constant companion. Doug was predeceased by his wife Sheila in 1996 and is survived by daughters, Jane (Richard), Caroline (Ron), and son John. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Michelle, Stephen, and Graham. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, March 24 at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam.
