Douglas Watts
Douglas Watts, 88, died Tuesday April 7, 2015 at his family’s home in Castleton.He was born in Asheville, NC on March 6, 1927, son of B.C. (Clarence) and Bonnie (Holcombe) Watts.He married Gloria Parker of Rutland on August 4, 1951 at Christ the King Church in Rutland.Mr. Watts studied UCLA business courses at Sawyer Business College in Los Angeles, Pasadena City College and also attended Florida State College in West Palm Beach, Florida. He worked as a Senior Financial Analyst before retiring. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed music and dancing with his wife.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria Watts of Castleton, VT; a son, Paul Watts, wife Dorothea and son Samuel of Minden NV; and a daughter, Donna Tucker, husband Ron and son Jesse of Castleton, VT.
A funeral mass and rosary will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, CA.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland, VT and Mission Hills Mortuary.
