DOV H. PLUZNIK
On Friday, January 1, 2016, Dov H. Pluznik, cherished husband of Judith Pluznik; loving abba of Meir Pluznik (Jodi) and Daniel Pluznik, Orit Kent (Meir Lakein), Ranon Kent (Stacy), Avi Kent, and David Kent; saba of Ari, Ilan, Tal, Jacob, and Rachel Pluznik, Ziv and Matan Lakein, Zev, Eytan, Rayna, and Ami Kent; brother of Michael Pluznik (Tzafi) and uncle of Roni Belkin and Ori Pluznik. Services Sunday, January 3, at 10:30 a.m., Beth Sholom Congregation and Talmud Torah, 11825 Seven Locks Road, Potomac, MD. Interment immediately following services at Gan Zikaron in Clarksburg, MD. Shiva will be observed at Dov''s late residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Beth Sholom Congregation and Talmud Torah. Arrangements entrusted to Torchinsky Hebrew Funeral Home, 202-541-1001.

Dear Pluznik Family,
My heartfelt condolences to you during this time of bereavement. I was deeply saddened by the news of Dov's passing. Dov was a great man to work with and he always made me laugh with his humor. I will truly be miss him.

Dear Mrs. Pluznik,
We met briefly a few times when you were helping Dov move from his lab to his office at the NIH, he was still recovering from his surgery and in remarkable good spirits. I was new to the Division and in awe of this scientist who was giving me his lab. Later, as I came to know him more, I realized he was always in good spirits, loved good food, was curious about other cultures and languages, and was always lots of fun to talk with. Dov was a wonderful colleague and friend. I am really sorry to hear of his passing and will miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

We met briefly a few times when you were helping Dov move his office to White Oak. I am so sorry for your loss. Dov was a great colleague and friend and I will miss him dearly. Work won't be the same without him.
