Edith "Bernice" Charbonneau, 80, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.

She leaves three brothers, Ernest Charbonneau and Howard Charbonneau both of Florida and William Charbonneau of California; many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Three brothers, Arthur, Joseph and Clarence Charbonneau and two sisters, Irene Lemay and Ann Lindquist, predeceased her.

She was born in Holden, the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Johnson) Charbonneau. Bernice lived most of her life in Holden and graduated from Holden High School in 1948. She was a secretary for 45 years at Norton Company in Worcester. Ms. Charbonneau was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holden and was an active member of the Holden Senior Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22nd, in the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be private at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holden Council on Aging/Senior Endowment Fund, 1130 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
