Eldred Edward Carmack

Eldred Edward Carmack, 85, London, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at his residence.Born June 5, 1924 in Booneville, Ky., he was the son of the late Abraham Jasper Carmack and Minnie Hoskins Carmack. He was a drug researcher, World War II Army veteran, a member of Bush Masonic Lodge No. 703, a Kentucky Colonel and affiliated with the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, Lavada Burch, Fred Carmack, Wendell Carmack, Ernest Carmack, Elmer Carmack and Herman Carmack.Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Owens Carmack, of London; a daughter, Marie Moore and husband, David, of London; three sons, Gary Carmack and wife, Denise, of Fayetteville, N.C., Ryan Carmack and wife, Stephanie, of Berea, Ky., and Earl Cooper, of London; and six grandchildren.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour today, Sept. 2, at Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Wendell Carmack will officiate the services.Burial will follow in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park.
