ELEANORA (NAVARI)
Of Highland Park on Saturday, December 10, 2016, age 81. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas C. "Nick" D'Onofrio; mother of Dino A. D'Onofrio (Christine), Nicholas C. D'Onofrio (Deborah), Leslie D. Rummel (Gregory), Louis C. D'Onofrio, and Alice D. Loveall (Josh); grandmother of Dina, Amy, Rebecca, Jessica, Zachary, Jackson, Nicholas, Michael and Mitchell; sister of Victoria Quinn, Ruth Smith, Alfred Navari, Cornelia Navari, Olivia Redshaw and the late Joseph Navari and Richard Navari; also survived by nieces and nephews. Eleanora devoted her entire life to the well-being of her family whom she cherished with all her heart. Both strangers and friends were drawn to her magnetic personality and love of people and conversation. Friends received at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOME, (www.mccabe brothers.com) 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Wednesday, 2-8 p.m. where a Blessing Service will take place on Thursday at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963. Interment private.

May she rest in peace. I enjoyed her personality and political spirit. It was obvious how much she loved her family. Prayers that in time, your pain will evolve into sweet memories.

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear mother. I recall our conversations at Peabody when she would come to see what her children were doing. All part of growing up in East Liberty and raising a great family in the same community. May she rest in peace.

Eleanora, you were a very "special" lady. So happy I got to meet and know you over the years. Will miss the long phone calls when I go visit Cornelia and we would always call you and talk. Watch over all of us.
