Elizabeth HOWLETT Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 10, 2014.
HOWLETT, Elizabeth May (Beth) - Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Toronto East General Hospital. Beth will be dearly missed by her spouse Judy Kelly, her love and best friend of 33 years. Beth was a very special aunt to Shannon and Rob and Auntie Beth was loved by their children Blaine and Allison. Beth had more than enough love to go around. She was cherished by Sarah (Dwyer) and her spouse Donna (Drover), and treated them as the daughters she never had. Nantie Beth lovingly fulfilled a grandmother role for Sarah and Donna's daughter Reilly Beth, who will miss her deeply. May we all be inspired by the ease with which she shared her love. Beth is survived by her sisters Val Roberts (late Trevor), Sharon Granger (Bill) and her nephews Mark (Tracy), Vance (Cheryl), Sean, Jason and Bryce. Beth cared deeply for her family and shared this love despite the miles between them. She is predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Helena Howlett and Norris Lowe. Beth will be missed by Judy's family, Bob (Fran), John, Noel (Helen), Geoff (Gail) and many nieces and nephews. Beth and Judy were longtime residents of Birdsall Beach Resort (Dennis and Wendy McDonald) and her presence there will be greatly missed. Beth retired after a dedicated career with the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto as a social worker in foster care services. Beth loved her four- legged friends Mr. Flynn, Teedo, Ollie and Aussie; she is now with all of them. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Beth's life will take place on Wednesday, December 17th from 1-5 p.m. at the McNeil Room (Whistler's Grille), 995 Broadview Avenue, Toronto M4K 2S1. Donations in Beth's memory can be made to the Toronto East General Hospital or Solitudes Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Email: [email protected]
