Age 80, of Penn Hills, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Wife of 42 years to the late Raymond J.; loving mother of Mary Beth (Philip) Kratsas, Peggy (Donald) Dezort, Jackie (Dominick) Tartaglione, Amy (Jeffrey) Stewart and Raymond T. (Jean) Killian; grandmother of Christopher (Lauren) Boyle, Bryan (Stacie) Boyle, Danielle (Nick) Hutchins, Zackariah Stewart, Meghan Dezort, Kasey Killian and Kiera Killian; great-grandmother of Evelyn Boyle, Westley Boyle, Harrison Boyle and Theodore Boyle; sister of Kathleen Harkins, Jeanne Alvarez, Margaret McHale, Rosemary (Frank) Dudas, and the late Joan Able-Vogel and Joseph Monroe; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Betty was a devoted wife and loving mother. She devoted over thirty years of her life as a nurses aide and caregiver working at Longwood Nursing Home and especially "Caring from the Heart" caring for the elderly and sick during their final days on Earth. Betty was a simple woman with a beautiful heart. She loved her family dearly. After the passing of their husbands, she lived with her sweet sister Peg, where they cared for each other. Friends received, Friday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
