Elizabeth Reinwald Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 10, 2025.
Elizabeth (Beth) Reinwald passed away on Wednesday morning, February 5th, 2025. Beth was born in Manhattan, New York on January 4th, 1947. She spent most her life living in North Brunswick and East Hanover, New Jersey.

Known to many as Beth From the Diner, Beth worked at the Middlesex Diner in North Brunswick for more than twenty years, then worked as a bookkeeper before retirement. Though a private person, her bright smile and welcoming attitude made her a natural friend to many in her community. And not one to sit around, her tireless work ethic kept her busy through her last days.

Beth's love and passion for the New York Yankees was second only to her unending and selfless dedication to her family, especially her five grandchildren. Never one to miss a cheer, dance, soccer, baseball or school event, Beth was an integral part of her families lives, always there to support, help and share in the day to day.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Lisa Berberian (and husband Gregg); her son, John Kafarski (and wife Tiffany Heater); her brother, Charles Reinwald (and wife Mary) her grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Lindsay, Violet and Wyatt; her nieces and nephews, Dawn Reinwald, Chuck Reinwald and Christopher Reinwald. Her parents, Joseph and Josephine Reinwald, predeceased her.

Private services and memorial will be held for immediate family. A celebration of Beth's life for friends and family is being planned for the summer and will be announced at a later date.

I knew Beth from EBHS, and she was always so pleasant to me, graduating in 1964. Then in 2011, I believe it was, a few of us girls and guys had a small reunion at the Olive Garden in East Brunswick. We had a fabulous time! I enjoyed being Beth´s Facebook friend ~ she especially liked " the Tiny Houses" " which I enjoyed "Liking."
My heartfelt sympathy to everyone.
