Ellen Christine Huckaby Wenzler of Ocala, Florida passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Ellen was born in Rome, Georgia on December 8, 1930 to Eva Mae and Roy Huckaby. She grew up in Brooksville, Florida, graduated from Hernando High School in 1949 and went on to attend Stetson University.
Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Greene.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alfred Walter Wenzler of Ocala; daughter Cyndy Metler and husband Bill Metler of St. Petersburg, daughter Deby Lyncker and husband Stephen Lyncker of Tallahassee, and daughter Kristye Lynne Hanna and husband Troy Hanna of Oldsmar; brother Bill Huckaby and wife Vera Huckaby of Brooksville; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. at Turner Funeral Home with funeral services being held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Brooksville, Florida. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
