Fond memories of Elsa, my classmate in the graduating class of 1951 at Girls Latin School of Baltimore. Elsa was an inspiration in so many ways.

What a beautiful and loving spirit who served as a model for giving, loving and service to others here on earth. God has just begun his plans for this sweet soul. We will find out how busy she has been in heaven when we join her! Can't wait to hear her new songs! May your family take refuge under His wings!

A great light in our community of San Marcos and surrounding cities has gone out.
God called her home after a successful, indefatigable active, helping, humorous, loving person sailing with HIS winds through her life.
My motto is similar:
"We cannot control the strength or direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails to the challenges in our life and ask God to then fill our sails and trust in HIM for a safe journey until HE feels we have reached our final haven!"
May God give her family strength to overcome losing her and keep smiling as she did.

I met Elsa through her loving daughter, Jinda. We would take our moms to lunch together, and they were FUN lunches. Elsa had a spirit and a twinkle in her eye that endeared her to all. Harry and I send our love and condolences to Jinda and Dave and the entire family.

My condolences go out to Elsa's loved ones. I was saddened to hear about our loss. I knew Elsa as a customer at the Rustic Sparrow in Escondido. It was such a pleasure waiting on her and I always looked forward to her spending some time with us. She was a lovely woman and I will miss her visits.

I remember Elsa from her volunteer work at Interfaith Community Services and how she finally "nudged" me into joining the San Marcos Lions Club! What a wonderful human being and champion of those in most need. She will truly be missed, but her genuine smile never forgotten.

To Elsa's inner circle... I wish you all peace as you work through your loss. There is hole in my heart where Elsa's smile used to be.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Elsa's family at this challenging time. May they be comforted by the wonderful life of love and service she led, serving as an inspiration to us all.
I had the honor and pleasure of working with Elsa on the San Marcos Community Foundation board several years ago. She was a force of nature, working hard on behalf of those needing a helping hand. I admired her determination and commitment to making the world a better place. She started a giving circle at her home to further educate and encourage giving, which inspired many. The past few years, she has served on the San Marcos Community Foundation Advisory Board, where she made sure we knew of regional issues needing attention.
Else made a wonderful difference in the lives of many - her family of course, and then well beyond in her beloved community. She will be missed.

I will miss you and Coco, Elsa. You are one of the most loving and giving and sweet 'mom' I had ever met. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Billy, Varinda, Jinda, and your families,
I'm so sorry for your loss. People like your mother are simply irreplaceable. Elsa's picture reminds me of a characteristic she most often displayed - her radiant smile. I can't recall a time when she wasn't flashing her warm, lovely smile. And her eyes reflected it, too. She had a way of making folks feel comfortable and special. That's quite a gift. I know how painful losing her must be, but she surely left her mark on you, your spouses, and her grandchildren, as well as those in the community who knew and loved her. What a beautiful legacy. You're all in my thoughts.
With much affection,
Jan Mongoven
