Elsie Priest

Elsie Priest Northville Age 92, passed away Sunday, 3 July, after suffering a major stroke 3 days earlier. She had received compassionate care during those days by Hospice at St. John Providence Hospital of Novi, Michigan. She was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England on 24 August 1918; daughter of Samuel and Jane (Ferguson) Davison. Elsie was married to Cecil on 9 September 1938 and spent 65 loving years together until his death in 2003. She moved to Northville and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Northville. Elsie was an avid reader, liked to sew, and loved feeding the birds. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, drawing, and playing the piano. Elsie is survived by her son, Ronald (Helen) Priest and Janiece (Gary) Paver; grandchildren, Vincent (Correne), Virginia, and Victor Paver; and great grandchildren, Arianna, Seth, Veronica, and Jadyn. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, John and Phillip. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 13 August 2011 at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church, 777 West Eight Mile Road, Northville. Rev. Dr. Steven J. Buck will officiate the service.
