Emma G. Hopper COLORADO CITY-Emma G. Hopper, age 85, lifelong resident of Colorado City passed away on April 8, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas, with her family by her side. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Emma was born in Mitchell County, Texas, on Jan. 31, 1932, to Cecil and Edna Erwin. She served as a faithful volunteer at the Wallace Senior Center and an active member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing to her favorite country music. Emma found such joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her down time. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Eddie Williams of Colorado City; Sherry Wright and husband, Randy of Lubbock; and Larry Williams and wife, Sondra of Colorado City; grandchildren, Kendall Williams of Paradise, Texas, Melissa Williams of Plano, Texas, Katy Lively of Colorado Springs, CO, Kristy Barnett of Lubbock, Texas, and Kevin Wright of Colorado Springs, CO. Emma also leaves eight great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Neta Terry of Morton, Texas, to remember all the great times they shared. Emma is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Williams; her parents, Cecil and Edna Erwin; and sister, Donna Oliver. The family welcomes friends for visitation at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Emma's honor to the Wallace Senior Center in Colorado City.
