Emma Marie Taylor Warlick
Mrs. Warlick, age 76, of Charlotte, NC passed from this life on March 31, 2005 after an extended battle with cancer. Marie was born January 23, 1929 in Gaffney, SC, a daughter of the late Aca Taylor and Mary Lynch Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sisters Maxine Kinard of Charlotte, NC Juanita Ledbetter of Shelby, NC and Margaret Garrett of Atlanta, GA.
Marie was a member of Northside Baptist Church for 45 years and a member of the Friendship Bible Class. She attended schools in Lincolnton, NC and beauty college in Charlotte, NC where she owned and operated Marie's Salon of Beauty.
She will long be remembered by her family and friends for her great sense of humor.
She is survived by her loving husband John Z. Warlick, daughter Elaine W. Funderburk and husband Ron of Mooresville, NC and brother Charles Taylor and wife Angie of Lincolnton, NC.
Funeral service will be held at Northside Baptist Church, 333 Jeremiah Blvd., Charlotte, at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 2, 2005 with Dr. Paul E. Martin and Dr. Charles Foushee, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30AM to 12:00 noon prior to the funeral at the church. Final resting place will be Forest Lawn West Mausoleum, Freedom Drive, Charlotte.
