My deepest sadness in the loss of your own one. We are so broken when we lose our loved ones...no clarity, no answers, no sense, no mercy. Not being able to change what is, we are left with a sense of helplessness that is beyond comprehension and soon, we see nothing but loss within ourselves.
Rising above this pain is a long road. It is a WELL paved road. Find comfort in that others have gone before you and made that journey somewhat easier to meander. The hardest part is making your own lane.

Eric was a great friend and a good battle buddy. He supported me as much as I supported him during our time in combat. We had tons of great memories going fishing or just hanging out in the B's at Ft. Campbell. His friendship will be missed and his legacy will live on.
