Eric Yergan Obituary
Eric Yergan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on May 14, 2023. He was 69 years old.
Eric was raised in Williston Park, New York. He pursued his education from Marist College in 1975. He later earned a master's degree from Harvard Business School in 1982.
Eric's greatest joy in life was his 40 year marriage to his beloved wife, Marguerite Yergan. Together, they build a strong and loving family. Their union was blessed with four children, Erica Paich, Christopher Yergan, Meghan Yergan and Max Yergan. Eric took great pride in watching his children thrive and succeed.
Eric also adored his five grandchildren, who brought endless joy and laughter. He embraced his role as a grandfather, sharing his wisdom and creating lasting memories.
Professionally, Eric enjoyed a successful career, both as an entrepreneur, and in the finance industry on Wall Street.
Eric was deeply committed to his community. He served as President of the Maplewood New Jersey, Rotary Club, where he made a lasting impact through his tireless efforts and dedication to service.
Eric will be remembered as a devoted family man, a successful businessman, a community leader, and a true friend.

Marguerite, I just learned of Erics passing. Even though we have been out of touch for so long I still carry many happy memories of Eric and things we shared together during the years we both worked for Dutchess County. We golfed, played tennis, danced, went to Aruba, went to leadership training in Troy, sailed on his dad's boat and later, Alice and I visited with both of you at Harmon Cove with our new baby girls. The last contact I had with him was after 9/11 when I called him to see if he was OK as I knew he worked in the city. Our sincerest sympathies to you and your family.
