Ernest Foote Obituary
He was also very active in the community, serving on civic boards and volunteering wherever he could be of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the years immediately following World War II.
Ernie is survived by his daughters, Linda Sullivan (Mike), Ann Swain (Joe) and his devoted grandchildren Frank Fontana and Monica McMillen (Michael) He was predeceased in death by Betty, his beloved wife of over 60 years, his loving daughter Sharon Foote and his brothers Carl and Edgar Foote. Ernie was a kind-hearted and gregarious man who gave of himself and will be missed by the many who loved him. Services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Thursday October 6th at 10 o'clock

We met Ernie at American Legion Post #74 several times through our friends, Katherine and Mickey. Always enjoyed his smile, humor, and just a plain nice man. May he rest in peace.

I met Ernie through the International Festival. He was a wonderful person, always ready to help, very organized, and well prepared. I really enjoyed his witty sense of humor that often liven our meetings up. He will be greatly missed and he will be always part of the International Festival!

I so enjoyed Ernie's time at Casa de Modesto. Ernie would stop by my office and we would have such a good time joking around about everyday issues. I wish the time at Casa would have been longer, but I am so pleased I had the opportunity to know this special man. I am so sorry for your loss. Barbara Dooley, Director of Residential.

I feel like I've known Ernie forever--I first met him at Village Bakery, discussing news and politics over coffee with the local denizens. He was always warm and funny and thoughtful. I was deeply saddened to hear of his death. I hope you find some comfort knowing he is with your dear mother, whom he loved so much.
