Ernie was a kind man, he called me his friend and that meant a lot to me. He had a deep love for Jesus Christ, his family and the many friends from church and the senior center. I had the opportunity to pray over him prior to his last surgery, the spirit of the Lord comforted him. I am reminded of him quite often, especially during football season. I miss breaking down the games and celebrating his favorite teams with him, The Ohio State University and The Cleveland Browns, and somehow The Cincinnati Bengals. He asked me to care for his daughter Wendy before he passed. I promised him that I would, and now, one year later we are to be married. Ernie's life should be CELEBRATED so that his memory will live on in our hearts. I will never forget.

Roger Wasem, a cousin, sends a few memories, Earnie listened to baseball games in the mid fifties on a crystal radio, He had goodly parents. He had various admirable talents that made me work harder. Sold me my first 22 rifle . Very proud Earnie, cousin James and my brother Charles enlisted in air force together, made the news paper.
