Ervin John Tutila

Tutila, Ervin John age 86 died on November 18, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at Methodist Hospital. He was born November 16, 1927 in Turtle Lake, WI. He grew up in Wisconsin and was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy. He married Margaret Garling on January 4, 1947. Ervin worked for Electric Machinery for 46 years. His hobbies included golf, fishing, making bird houses, reading and extensive traveling to most of the US and 20 countries. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon. Survived by his wife, Peg; children, Gayle (Brent) Gish, Joan (Jim) Turner, and Mark (Karen) Tutila, grandchildren, David Gish, Aimee Meier, Sarah Beth Wheeler, Brooke Westbrook, and Wyatt Tutila; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Kiesling, and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service Monday 11/25/13, 11 AM at St. James Lutheran Church, 6700 46th Place N, Crystal. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. James Lutheran Church and Global Health Ministries.
