Joe retired as a metal model maker from Warren Tech Center and was a proud veteran, having served his country. He was a man of unwavering faith and believed in the power of prayer. Two of the dearest people I have ever known, Myriam and Joe. They just seem to go together, like "peas and carrots". Joe, as I look at that huge smile on your face I think back to each and every time I had an encounter with you and that grin is a memory that will always be with me. The brighter side of that is Myriam who always illuminated that same smile especially when she was with you! And David, when the three of you were to together, again his smile was prominent and precious as well...What that says to me dear friend, you were such a true blessing to Myriam and David and I am honored that I had the opportunity to know you. You left a light shinning bright that I will treasure right along with the rest of your entire family. You were a warrior and truly one of God's angles and your positive energy will be missed here on earth by all of us that you touched. Your spirit will continue to brighten our days as you watch over Myriam.
My deepest sympathy to your family and friends.
Much Love,

Dearest Joe,
You are the light of my life, and your love still shines bright. The memories we shared comfort me each day. Although you are no longer with me in life, I still feel your love. I honor our life together by focusing on the joy we shared. I felt your love every day and still feel you near, loving me. I never wanted to be without you, but your love comforts me. You may have left this world, but not my heart. In my grief, my tears give testimony to the love I have for you. I get through each day without you because of the love we shared. Even death did not end our love. Ours was a great love story that we will continue together someday. When we meet again, I shall hold you in my arms and never let you go. Our love was our bond, and even death could not break it. Your death left a gaping hole in my life that I fill with the love we shared.
Until we meet again. I send my eternal love. Love, Myriam

I met Joe and Myriam several yrs ago when I started taking care of their lawn and flower beds.
It turned out we had a lot in common my late husband was in the Army and we had been stationed in Colorado several times. We formed a friendship and I have been blessed to have gotten to know both him and Myriam over the last few yrs. I will miss my conversation with him he was the sweetest man.

Joe came into my mother's life through his granddaughter Madelina. I loved how he brought love and laughter into our lives. I saw my mother transform from a very hard-working nurse to a woman in love and the happiest I´ve ever seen her. Joe was an honorable man and a proud Vietnam Veteran. Thank you, Joe, for giving me some of the greatest advice on faith, family, and life. You will never be forgotten. Love, David

Our deepest condolences to Myriam and the entire Manrriquez family. We met Joe through Myriam, who has been a friend ours for several decades. It was an absolute honor to have met Joe and to have had periodic contact him after he moved to the Denver area to be with Myriam. He was warm, thoughtful, engaging and simply a genuine human being. Myriam often bragged about Joe's cooking skills and his value and dedication to family. We hosted a "going away" party for Joe and Myriam prior to them moving back to Michigan in 2018. We were sad to see them go, but they were both determined to get back to their home state and enjoy the family ties they had there. We are so happy Joe had time to spend with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren before his passing. We also honor Joe for his service to our country as a veteran of the United States Army. May he rest in peace.
Love, Grace and Al
