Evelyn Wilcosky Obituary
Born in Schoentown, April 25, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George and Veronica Sabol Schappell.
She had been a cashier at Value City department store. She loved to travel and go to the casinos.
Evelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1995; a son-in-law, Allen Lee Peters, in 2015.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine, Pottsville, wife of the late Allen Lee Peters; a son, Jeffrey G. Wilcosky and his wife, Sandy, Hertford, N.C.; a brother, Edward Schappell, husband of Ethel, Pottsville; two grandsons, Jeffrey G. Wilcosky Jr., North Carolina, and Joseph J. Wilcosky, husband of Kim, Pottsville; two great-granddaughters, Angela Wilcosky and Sarah Wilcosky, both of Pottsville.
Evelyn received compassionate and loving care from her dear friend, Debbie.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.

I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Wilcosky. She was the mother of my best friend growing up and I can't remember her ever having an unkind word about anyone. She will truly be missed....

To Jeff & Elaine & grandchildren, Evelyn was a special friend & relative to me & my parents. I could spend hours talking to her. I loved her like a mother. I am so sorry you lost her, she didn't have a mean bone in her body. I will cherish her memories dear to my heart.
