Fidencio Silva

Fidencio Silva passed away March 21, 2011 at the age 83. He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on November 16, 1928. Mr. Silva was a humble man of God and loving father who loved his children and taught them good work ethics, but most importantly, to "trust in God". He has been reunited with his bride and loving wife, Guadalupe R. Silva. Fidencio is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Silvia(Polo) Gonzales, Linda(Joel) Gonzales, Diana Prescott, Cindy(Don) Brown, Sandra(Michael) Elizondo, Dora(Felipe) Cerda, Cora Castillo, JoAnn(Paul) Jacobs, and Dolores Pedermubez; sons and daughters-in-law: Robert(Thelma) Silva, Joe Silva, David Silva, Sergio Silva, Fred Silva, Fidencio Silva, Jr. and wife, Margie, and Jesse Silva; sister, Socorro Gutierrez ;numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Rodrigo and Eulalia Silva; brother, Jose Silva; sister, Juanita Guerrero; and son-in-law, Charles Prescott. The visitation for Mr. Silva will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 6pm until 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, located at 11150 Macdona-LaCoste Rd., Atascosa, TX 78002. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 10am with burial to follow in San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II. Friends may leave letters of condolence at www.olingermortuaryservice.com. The family of Mr. Silva has asked that floral deliveries be made to the funeral home no later than 2pm on Thursday. If after 2 pm, please have them delivered directly to the church.
